Simple Razor Cleaning Methods

Cleaning your safety razor is actually pretty simple. All you need is a little soap and water. Start by taking the razor apart and rinsing all of the parts in warm water. Then, add a drop or two of dish soap on to a old toothbrush and clean away. This is a simple method but will make your safety razor look like new. Rinse everything off and dry it with a clean towel.

If you see someone trying to sell you Safety Razor Cleaning soap, just walk the other way.  There is no special soap, and The Classic Edge would NEVER sell something so dishonest and just not needed.  Dawn dish soap will do a great job, and the only thing better is sending your razor for professional polishing.  Don't fall for it.

Cleaning your razor every so often is just common sense, will it extend the life of the razor? Hmmm maybe a little.  But most safety razors are made with either Non-Ferrous metals like brass or copper, or better yet Stainless Steel. So they will not rust.  But with all the new Safety Razor gimmicks some shaving stores are selling that are made in China for a buck, unless you buy from a vendor that cares about the quality of products they sell, you never know what you'll get.  If you decided to give The Classic Edge Shaving Store a chance, please know we have never sold out to these cheap gimmicks and never will!  We do not lure you in with Brand named razors and try to point you to our custom brand Safety Razors from China for $6.  We will only sell you products that we have personally tested and stand behind. This is not some sales pitch, for any of you that know Phil, you get it.  He is not shy about telling people the hard truth.
