Handmade Padauk and Maple 2 Straight Razor Box

Introducing a new handmade razor box from the Ashcroft Collection. Each box with it's own personality and character, these boxes are made with 100% solid wood. What first catches your attention is the small details, such as the solid wood top. Not nailed or glued in, explained by Mr. Ashcroft, but instead fit into place so that the wood can move slightly. I asked Mr. Ashcroft, the point of this and he explained. "When using two different woods, the expansion rate is not the same", so by giving the wood room to breath it prevents cracks at the sections where glue or nails would be.  This attention to detail is what sets his work apart. Since Mr. Ashcroft is a retired Artisan we can only expect small number runs.  So know that the box you receive is special and one of a kind. Included in the box is a care note from Mr. Ashcroft on how to take care of this Heirloom to keep it beautiful for years to come.
