NOS Dovo Inox 5/8 Genuine Mother of Pearl Vintage Straight Razor

Please note: With any Shaving Antiques there are no returns.  Once the razor is honed or used it is no longer New Old Stock. As a small family run business we could not recover the cost. These type of Antiques are more for collectability and will gain value over time. Made in the late-twentieth century, and manufactured in the heart of the straight razor world, Solingen Germany, this vintage Dovo Inox is a genuine work of historical art.

The 5/8 Full Hollow Ground, Stainless Steel blade featured on this phenomenal razor is stamped with the company's signature logo; but you shouldn't be surprised if your eye is immediately drawn to the expertly applied gold wash, still in perfect condition, that runs beautifully across the face of the blade. 

Accompanied by the original pair of genuine mother of pearl scales, impressively made from a single solid piece, this razor will instantly become the highlight of any vintage collection.  Pieces of Mother of Pearl this size are basically gone form the face of the earth, as they have been farmed to the point that they don’t get to this size large size. I’m sure there are some shells out there somewhere this size, but if found the price would reflect how rare they truly are.

It comes with the original blue metal Dovo box .  We ask that you advise us on whether you would like the original factory edge, or made to be completely "Shave Ready" 

If you entrust to us this special privilege, like all other straight razors leaving the Classic Edge, we will take great care to ensure this edge is perfect in every way. 

Note: This razor will not be prepared like other razors, it will not be oiled due to the Mother of Pearl. It will be hand polished with Renaissance Wax, and buffed clean.  We highly recommend this method when dealing with such rare finds.
