We added witch hazel for anti-inflammatory, toning and antiseptic properties, aloe vera, glycerin and allantoin for moisturizing and healing, and a light hit of menthol to leave a lasting cooling sensation. All of these organic and natural ingredients help to combat dryness and irritation after shaving…your face is in for a refreshing treat!

*Taconic’s Bay Rum full-bodied splash has hints of cinnamon and citrus, giving it a refreshing, spicy scent, which lingers subtly on your skin. It pairs with Taconic’s Bay Rum shave soap, shave cream and solid cologne.

*Note that this is our alcohol-free version of Taconic’s Original Bay Rum Splash with a slightly different formulation

Directions: Rinse your face with cold water after shaving or cleansing. Shake and pour liberally onto the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together and pat onto your face and neck in a downward motion, avoiding the eye area (since menthol can sting your eyes).

Ingredients: Organic Herbal Extract (Aloe Vera infused with Witch Hazel, Japanese Honeysuckle, Chamomile Flower, Willow Bark, Calendula Flowers, Goldenseal, and Lavender Buds), Glycerin, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Allantoin, Proprietary Fragrance/Essential Oil Blend, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol and Menthol.

Won't Buy Again

I've tried a few cheap Bay Rum's: Clubman Ok but wouldn't buy again, Captains Choice was quite strong & fragrant - enjoyed this. Suavecito is also strong & fragrant - very similar to Captain's Choice, depending on price I would buy either one again. Taconic Bay Rum is mild & at first smelled something like sage but then I looked at ingredients and maybe the dull dominant smell is chamomile. I'm not getting any of the cinnamon or citrus smell at all. I know smell is highly variable but again its mild, dull, and doesn't resemble any Bay Rum that I've tried up until now. Although I don't like the smell, the quality is decent, face feels cool and moisturized. I'll pass this one off to my brother & see if he likes it.

Nice one, but my skin had a reaction so I had to drop it.
Got some burning sensation and red skin for an hour.
