This scuttle has some of the charm of days gone by. If you pre heat both chambers for five minutes with hot tap water then dump and refill the inside chamber you have no problem getting a three pass shave. I use coffee maker water for the second warm up. Im sure many scuttles work fine but this one for me is a bit more unique. Again the people you deal with at CE will treat you like family. .
Just got my Classic Edge soap puck dish with the lid. Works perfect, just enough room for the brush to work the top and sides of the soap. Looks great beside my CS scuttle to. Gret product and great people to deal with. PS,the lid and bowl fit together flawlessly.
I've been shaving every other day with this razor, and it's a great little performer - big enough to actually shave your face, small enough to put wherever you need it. It looks absolutely beautiful in a utilitarian way too- no pretense, just a nice piece of steel
My only complaint is that the width is a little hard for me to strop as easily as a wider blade - hard to get a feel that both sides of the razor are actually on the strop
Today I received my new BÖKER DAMASCUS EBONY 6/8 and guess what… within five minute after opening the package I was shaving with it. Feel just perfect has always well balance and glide easily on the skin. Phil honed it perfectly. It’s hard to explain but if you wish to get the best Böker never disappoint. I tough at first damascus was over priced but I was wrong it’s worth every penny. It stay sharp much longer it shave very smoothly and it just look so freakin awesome. Thank you Jane and Phil for the great costumer service and support. You really are a part of my favorite time of the day…. Shaving time lol
