Classic Edge Shaving

Classic Edge Shaving Scuttle w/Logo Ivory

This top quality Creamware Shaving Scuttle is without question one of the best Shaving Scuttle I have found on the Market, that is not Vintage. The reason it is made in creamware is to make it easy to see the lather produced. The rings inside the mug help to trap air with the shaving brush to produce a thick lather! Clean straight lines and smooth cream sides, the soap dish is perfect for holding your shaving soap and also works to store the soap when not in use. The dish easily holds any size of cake soap. Just wet the bottom of the cake and it will stick to the dish and not move. Most scuttles I tested would not keep the water hot longer than the first shave, so that was one important factor when picking a scuttle to supply to my clients and this Scuttle did very well in that department! Unlike all the Scuttles of today, it is more like the Antique Scuttles of yesterday making this one of the only Shaving Scuttle with Class. Made in England with high quality workmanship, we are proud to make this product available to our clients and stand behind it 100%. So if you are not happy with it, you are welcome to send it back for a Full Refund no questions asked! Thanks for visiting our website and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Note: Best Use of Your Shaving Scuttle. For best results and good care of your shaving scuttle, fill it with hot water from the tap first then boil a kettle and replace the water in the scuttle with boiling water. Lather up with your soap and brush then leave standing in the scuttle for 5 mins to get a hot lather. OR heat in Microwave until Hot.

What i have been missing...

After taking up wet shaving about 2 years ago using my fathers old Gillette and tube creams, I have slowly added to the collection a variety of soaps, creams, brushes and DE razors. What I did not realize I had been missing was the true enjoyment of warm, slick lather! 2 to 3 weeks on now, and although I thought never to look forward to shaving each day, the use of this scuttle has made all the difference. Simply heated by hot tap water and left to warm while one goes through the pre-shave routine, then replace the water with fresh hot, grab the favorite brush and swirl till smooth and silky...easily warms the lather to the extent that the 3rd application for touch up is as comfortable and enjoyable as the initial application. Would recommend this product every time to anyone asking- it may sit idle during the hot humid months, but come fall...yes!

I purchased this scuttle just over two years ago , my one and only scuttle. The reason for this purchase was to keep the lather extra warm. I do this by putting boiling water in the spout and let it sit for a few minutes before mixing up the lather , I can do three passes no problem with hot lather. Years ago going to the barber for a shave
it reminds me of the old days when barbers were allowed to shave.
Great product won't trade it for anything else, hopefully I won't drop it. LOL

I have been using this scuttle for over a month now and love it. I am one of the few that uses boiling water after I heat it up with tap water.
The lather stays hot for 3 passes, but a trick to keep the water nice and hot for my entire shave is putting a spare shaving brush in the spout.
I wouldn't hesitate buying another one.
It really is a nice piece of work !
Enjoy.

This scuttle is not bad, but it is kind of a bummer that you can't build your lather while holding the scuttle in your hand; the water splashes out from the shaving brush hole (and goes into your lather...). You must keep it flat on the counter top when building your lather in the bowl.
Plus. the size of the hole makes the water lose quite a bit of heat...

This is my first shaving scuttle, and having warm lather is simply amazing, I don't regret buying it at all.
If it weren't for the shaving brush hole, it would be a 5-star product all the way ; the quality of the ceramic and the workmanship is great.
