Expensive tortoiseshell has been used since ancient times to make exquisite art and furniture. This rare material was highly sought after to decorate royal courts around the world. For our product line, we want to do our part to protect these majestic, endangered turtles. We work exclusively with an imitation of silk-matte polished acrylic glass.

The round point is the classic shape for a razor and is suitable in most shaving situations. This type of point has been very popular for centuries, as the curved shape can be used very safely in the areas of the ears, nose, and dimples. Even in the event of a fall, the rounded head protects you from injuries.

5/8 inch razors are true all-rounders and can do any wet shaving task with flying colours. The blade is relatively heavy and can therefore glide gently over your skin without great pressure. At the same time, it is still nimble enough to manage even more technically demanding passages around the nose, ears, and chin.

Please allow a minimum of at least 2-3 business days for us to prepare your Straight Razor, as this is not a product that you buy just anywhere. It needs special attention to detail as it will come in contact with your skin, and must be sanitized and polished before being coated with Renaissance Wax. Note: When you receive the razor for the first time, carefully take it out of the box and remove the oil with a piece of tissue. The razor has already been stropped and it is completely "Shave Ready", so go ahead and shave! You will get 2 shaves before needing to strop (depending on how aggressive your beard growth is. Each time you have used your razor, rinse the blade with hot tap water. Carefully and thoroughly dry the blade and in between the scales with a piece of tissue paper before you close it. We recommend to oil your razor after every use. To maintain a sharp cutting edge, strop regularly prior to shaving.
