Like any other razor sold by The Classic Edge Shaving Store, this straight razor is professionally honed to "shave ready" by us. We do this because the standard factory edge is not sharp enough to shave with out of the box. This $20 Value is our way to show you that we are willing to take our Customer Service to the next level. After all, nothing is worse than buying a Straight Razor as a gift for a loved one and when they open the box to realize that they now have to send it away to be sharpened before they can use it.
A truly distinctive full hollow ground straight razor, this gorgeous 5/8 Bergischer Lowe is an involved piece of artistry and efficacy. It specks for itself! The 5/8" blade, which doubles as a canvas for reverse gold etching and gold plating along the spine, is secured in a handle fashioned from genuine buffalo horn. The natural patterns of the horn ensure a one-of-a-kind finish, hand-polished to perfection by a member of the legendary Dovo family of craftsmen. This is a natural material which varies in the tone of the color. An excellent addition to any collection or a wonderful gift for that someone man in your life! This straight razor is a true masterpiece!
Note: Each time you have used your straight razor, rinse the blade with hot water. Carefully and thoroughly dry the blade and in between the scales with a piece of tissue paper before you close it. If you intend to leave your straight razor unused for several days, oil the blade using a mineral oil to protect the surface from moisture and humidity. To maintain a sharp cutting edge, strop regularly prior to shaving.
